Let’s take you on a journey to the Hughes family home, where we transformed their vision of a cosy, open-plan kitchen into a stunning reality. They craved a kitchen that would become the heart of their home, combining modern practicality with timeless beauty. This also included finding the perfect spot for their beloved coffee machine.
Our clever use of materials was at the forefront of achieving this balance. We selected beautifully crafted ash shaker ‘Haddon’ doors, colour-matched to Farrow and Ball Duck Green, which brought warmth to the elegant design. The walnut island worktops added a touch of drama, while the granite worktop in Cosentino Sensa Vancouver tied everything together harmoniously.
We incorporated patinated brass accessories, including the Quooker boiling water tap and handles, to add a soft touch to the design. These elements perfectly matched the smooth texture of the ceramic sink basins. The walnut floor and subway tiles further enriched the space, and the textured glass on the pendant lights and feature vase on the island provided a delightful play of textures.
Practicality was never overlooked in our pursuit of elegance. The coffee machine found its permanent spot in a specially measured area, sheltered by double lifting electronic wall units for easy accessibility. The Bora Puxa vented hob on the island enabled the family to cook and socialize simultaneously, introducing a contemporary twist to the conventional kitchen setup. The Chef’s Pantry, made in walnut, not only housed the microwave but also featured sensor lighting and spice racks on the doors, making it a dream come true for any home cook.
We also had the pleasure of working on the utility area, ensuring an efficient space for the Hughes family. Throughout the process, we worked closely with their builders, providing comprehensive electrical and plumbing specifications for a seamless operation.
