Every kitchen has a story to tell, a unique narrative reflecting the lives and passions of those who inhabit it. For our client, the dream kitchen was a harmonious blend of modern German style and the warmth of British design, a space that would not only serve as the heart of their home but also embody their distinct personalities.
From the very outset, the Kerslakes had a clear vision for their kitchen. They envisioned a space that was both stylish and functional, maximising storage without compromising on aesthetics. They desired an island with breakfast bar seating, a chef’s pantry, and a utility broom unit – seamlessly integrated into a design that exuded elegance and sophistication.
Enter Leah, the fabulous designer from Dovecote Kitchens Direct, who wholeheartedly embraced the Kerslakes’ vision. Together, they embarked on a journey of creativity and collaboration, transforming their kitchen aspirations into a tangible reality.
A Symphony of Modernity and Warmth
The Conway door, meticulously crafted in our own factory in ‘Vintage Sante Fey Oak’ and complemented by ‘Pebble Grey’ tones, served as the centerpiece of the design. Its sumptuous texture added depth and character, while the warm wood tones were beautifully accentuated by the brass fittings and accessories, proving that brass is not solely reserved for traditional settings.
Calacatta Oro worktops flawlessly harmonised the grey and brass colour palettes, creating a cohesive and inviting ambiance throughout the kitchen. The CAD visuals provided a remarkably realistic glimpse of the end result, allowing the client to truly envision their dream kitchen taking shape.
The island wall units and tall units featured Conway doors in Vintage Santa Fe Oak, while the base units and one tall unit sported Conway doors in Cashmere Grey. This combination added visual interest and dimension to the space, while the 20mm Fugen quartz worktops in Calacatta Oro with upstands provided a sleek and sophisticated finish.
Brass handless gola rails and matching brass clip handles on feature doors exuded a sense of modern elegance, while the venting hob and pyro slide-and-hide oven ensured culinary excellence and effortless cleaning. The Siena composite sink in concrete and brushed brass tap added a touch of industrial chic, while the pull-out corner storage maximised storage space and accessibility.
A Thoughtful Touch of Practicality
To further enhance functionality, anti-slip matting was incorporated into the drawers, preventing items from slipping around and ensuring the safe storage of glassware and other delicate items. Matching shelves in Vintage Sante Fe Oak with Alexander and Wilks brass shelf supports provided additional storage and complemented the overall aesthetic.
The crowning touch came with the LED lighting featuring complimentary brass bezels, casting a warm and inviting glow throughout the kitchen. The Kerslakes’ dream kitchen had finally come to life, a testament to their impeccable taste and the expertise of Dovecote Kitchens Direct.
